As a Frontend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in crafting and enhancing our frontend architecture to deliver exceptional user experiences. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining the frontend components that power our products. Collaborating closely with our team of Backend Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and key stakeholders, you will contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, robust, and high-performance frontend solutions.

Given that most of our team is located in the Netherlands, we only consider candidates for this position who live within commuting distance of our office in Amsterdam.

What you'll do in this role:

  • Utilizing your extensive experience with Frontend technologies to design, develop, and maintain components, ensuring optimal performance and usability.

  • Collaborate with our talented team of backends and AI Engineers to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems, enabling efficient data flow and smooth user interactions, as well as aiming for fast delivery of features and initiatives.

  • Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, leveraging your expertise to drive the evolution of our front-end technology stack.

  • Actively participate in code reviews, providing valuable feedback and guidance to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

  • Mentor and train junior members of the frontend team

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies

Job requirements

What you bring to the table:

  • 3+ years of experience in Frontend engineering or related field

  • Strong proficiency in Angular and other frameworks such as Lit HTML

  • Experience working with APIs and Microservices and understanding how to effectively communicate with backend services is essential for building seamless frontend-backend integrations.

  • Proficiency in responsive design techniques, ensuring optimal user experiences across different devices and screen sizes.

  • Understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) principles, as well as a keen eye for design details, contributes to creating intuitive and user-friendly frontend interfaces.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across the organization

  • Excellent English communication skills 

Current tech stack :

Our web front-end applications are developed predominantly in the most current versions of Angular and use WordPress headless content management systems.  We use Lit HTML to build reusable and interoperable web components. We are fully cloud-native utilizing AWS and Azure. We adopt a Lean, API first product development approach leveraging cloud technologies and design practices.  Our platform technologies both microservice and AI, are developed in Python.

We conduct a comprehensive search of databases worldwide and then provide patients and physicians with a personalized Treatment Search Report listing possible treatment options, such as clinical trials and expanded access programs.
