We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Frontend Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team. As the Frontend Engineering Lead, you will play a critical role in leading the development and design of our platform frontend, ensuring it delivers an exceptional user experience for patients, physicians, and (bio)pharma stakeholders. This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities.


Given that most of our team is located in the Netherlands, we only consider candidates for this position who live within commuting distance to our office in Amsterdam.


What you'll do in this role

  • Leading the frontend engineering of our platform, delivering best in class customer user experiences.
  • Collaborating closely with Backend and AI engineers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to defining and prioritizing frontend engineering initiatives.
  • Taking ownership of the frontend architecture, ensuring it is scalable, capable of fast delivery of new features and improvements, maintainable, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Actively contributing in our product teams to the development of new features and enhancements to existing ones, ensuring they meet high standards of usability, accessibility, and performance.
  • Leading and managing a team of frontend engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their professional growth.


Job requirements


This is the right opportunity for you if you

  • Have extensive (7+ years) experience in frontend development using Angular 14 and other frameworks such as React.
  • Bring at least 3 years of demonstrable experience leading and mentoring a team of frontend engineers.
  • Are a strong problem-solver with solid analytical skills and the ability to propose and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Have excellent (English) communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Have experience with agile development methodologies and working in a fast-paced, iterative development environments.
  • Are familiar with UI/UX design principles and have a passion for delivering user-friendly and accessible interfaces.
  • Have experience with AWS in deploying frontend applications to AWS S3 buckets.
  • Are able to build trust and work well with diverse group of people, internally and externally.


Our current tech stack

  • We are fully cloud-native utilizing AWS. We adopt a Lean, API first product development approach leveraging cloud technologies and design practices.
  • Our web front-end applications are developed predominantly in Angular, using Django / Wagtail headless content management systems.
  • Our mobile applications are developed in Flutter (IOS and Android).
  • Our platform technologies both microservice and AI, are developed in Python.
  • We also foster a rapidly growing expertise in knowledge graphs (Neo4j) and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL restful etc.). In addition, we develop human in the loop Machine learning for healthcare in house such as LLMs and other NLP techniques.

Who we are

myTomorrows is a platform that helps patients and physicians discover and access treatments in development. We conduct a comprehensive search of databases worldwide and then provide patients and physicians with a personalized Treatment Search Report listing possible treatment options, such as clinical trials and expanded access programs. When patients and physicians decide to pursue one of these options, we may be able to facilitate access for them. We have helped more than 10.000 patients and 1.000 physicians in over 80 countries and are on a rapid growth trajectory.
