The opportunity: Director Pharma partnerships

As the Director of Pharma Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through partnerships with BioPharma. You will be responsible for generating leads, and establishing partnerships and alliances that support our business objectives and enhance our product portfolio. You will identify, evaluate, and negotiate collaborations with external partners, including small to mid-size BioPharma as well as large Pharma firms. This role requires strong networking, strategic thinking, negotiating, and business development skills.

Additionally, you continuously need to stay informed on our capabilities as well as industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities. This is collaborating closely with our operations team, marketing team, revenue operations team and as part of the Partnerships & Customer Success team.


What you'll do in this role:

  • Continuously network and generate a high number of leads, supported by a BDR
  • Develop and execute a partnership strategy focused on acquiring new partners and expanding existing relationships within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Drive revenue growth by meeting and exceeding partnership targets and sales quotas.
  • Qualify deals, negotiate agreements, and close deals that align with company objectives.
  • Support the development of sales enablement material, working closely with product marketing
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful and seamless implementation and delivery of partnership commitments.
  • Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities and support contracting related to the expansion services for existing clients
  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and product/service enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting and deal activities and interactions in the CRM system (HubSpot).
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and expand the company's presence within the pharmaceutical sector. 
  • Travel to clients, conferences, and prospects across the globe (60% of the time)

Job requirements

What you bring to the table:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Life Science, Healthcare
  • 8+ years of experience in partnership development, business development, or sales roles, with a strong focus on contracting and closing deals within the pharmaceutical industry
  • An existing network within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably within pre-approval access space.
  • Preferred: Strong understanding of clinical development: clinical trials and / or expanded access programs
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills in English.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and partnership objectives. You have a winning mentality.
  • The ability to identify market opportunities and develop actionable plans.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead cross-functional initiatives.
